The Linux Professional Institute (LPI) will be offering certification testing at SCALE 9x. All three levels of LPI certification (LPIC-1, LPIC-2 and LPIC-3) will be offered at these events.  

The promotional price for all exams will be $99 US (regularly $173), except for LPI-301 (the LPIC-3  certification exam) which will be $219 US (regularly $260).

Registration for LPI exams at SCALE 9x is available by emailing LPI at events@lpi.org.  Please indicate preferred exam(s) and time slot(s) when registering for exam events.

To participate in the exam labs you must obtain an LPI ID at our registration area: (https://www.lpi.org/caf/Xamman/register)

On the day of the exam, candidates may make payment for their exams onsite 15 minutes prior to the exam lab either by cash or cheque. Exams may be paid for in advance by PayPal with LPI. Each exam takes approximately 90 minutes to complete. In addition, along with their exam payment, candidates should bring their LPI ID and a government issued photo identification to the exam lab.

Moodle supports many import/export formats for test and quiz questions. The GIFT format is an easy to use text markup that allows the instruc tor to concentrate on the questions rather than the tool.

The talk will give examples and live imports of GIFT formatted questions. Supported question types include automagic grading for types such as MCSA, MCMA, TF, short answer, matching, fill in and numerical. It also supports essay questions. Categories, comments, question names, question feedback, multiple answers and weighted answers are all supported.
