This 2-hour, hands-on workshop will teach you how to use OpenSCAD to create physical objects. It will cover:

 

- The philosophy of models-as-code

- Understanding the OpenSCAD UI

- Using OpenSCAD from the command line

- Creating your first OpenSCAD models

- Modules and functions

- Variables and scope

- Thinking parametricly

- Writing clean code in OpenSCAD

- Workflows for 3D Printing

 

This session is aimed at people with some coding background, although no OpenSCAD, CAD, or 3D modeling experience is expected.

Attendees should bring a laptop (Mac, Windows, or Linux), ideally pre-installed with OpenSCAD.
