Have a passion you'd like to share? Is there a community you want to connect with at SCaLE? Want some open discussion on a topic? If so, create or join a BoF as SCaLE 24x continues the tradition of providing space for groups to meet and discuss their common interests. BoFs do not have to be about FLOSS topics. Want a Maker BoF? A board games BoF? How about Cloud Computing or Open Government? It could even be an offsite excursion. A BoF is whatever topic you want to bring people together over.
BoFs should be as informal as possible with group interaction (not just one person giving a presentation). Even better is if there is positive inter-group interaction such as multiple local user groups meeting together or various database groups meeting to discuss future database and big data needs in the FLOSS ecosystem.

What is a birds of a feather session?
It's an informal meet-up or discussion, where SCaLE attendees can get together and discuss a shared interest without a pre-designated agenda. Please use the #scale24x tag when promoting your meeting or when discussing a BoF you intend to attend, whichever social media you're using. We will once again have sponsored BoFs for FLOSS topics and companies. If your organization is interested in sponsoring snacks or beverages for a BoF, please contact BoFs@socallinuxexpo.org.
