Two Days of PostgreSQL Training, Technical Talks, and Community
PostgreSQL@SCaLE is a two-day, multi-track PostgreSQL event co-located with the Southern California Linux Expo (SCaLE) March 5-6, 2026 at the Pasadena Convention Center.
The program brings together PostgreSQL core contributors, long-time community leaders, and engineers running PostgreSQL in production to share practical, experience-driven knowledge. Sessions focus on how PostgreSQL works, how to operate it reliably at scale, and how to use it effectively in modern systems.
PostgreSQL@SCaLE is designed for
- Database administrators (DBAs)
- Backend and web and full-stack developers
- Sysadmins and Site reliability engineers
- Platform, cloud-native, and Kubernetes practitioners
- Open source users running PostgreSQL in production or at home
Content ranges from foundational operational concepts to advanced internals and large-scale deployments, making it valuable for both newer PostgreSQL users and experienced practitioners.
What to Expect

One track on Thursday will be a full-day training sessions led by experienced PostgreSQL educators and practitioners. - Technical Talks and Community Engagement
Thursday and Friday will have tracks covering PostgreSQL internals, performance, replication, reliability, tooling, and modern workloads including AI and cloud-native environments. There will also be opportunities to engage directly with PostgreSQL contributors and experienced operators, including an Ask Me Anything (AMA).
