The presentation will take place in Room 103 on Thursday, March 5, 2026 - 10:00 to 10:30

This is a hands‑on workshop showing how a browser tab can become a secure, full‑fledged development environment for open source AI. Kasm Workspaces is a container‑streaming platform that delivers Linux and Windows desktops, IDEs, and browsers straight to any modern web browser, with no local installs, VPNs, or agents required.
In this session, the Kasm team will demonstrate the same zero‑trust remote workspaces they donate to Kwaai volunteers: preconfigured coding environments, secure browsing sandboxes, and multi‑OS desktops that start in seconds and can be torn down with a click. Participants will learn how Kasm’s Docker‑ and Kubernetes‑based architecture isolates each session for strong malware resistance and data‑loss protection, while giving contributors the freedom to work on Personal AI projects from any device with just a browser. The workshop will close with practical guidance on spinning up your own Kasm instance, customizing images for AI development, and using this model to empower globally distributed, privacy‑conscious open source communities.
