The presentation will take place in Room 103 on Sunday, March 8, 2026 - 10:00 to 11:00

From the trenches of pre Linux 1.0 warfare where Usenet was king and IRC was the instant messenger of choice comes a tale of trust, tribulation, Cyrix 486DX40 cpus and the ESDI drive. A winding yarn of failures and successes from one of the largest privately owned ISPs, to the last employment I ever had the privilege of being fired from. The termination resulted in the formation of a successful Open Source company that has been operating profitably from 1997 without debt, and without Venture Capital.

Join me in this interactive session of how to build your career, succeed in Open Source and most importantly, live a vital life of intention. This isn’t just your average experience, you will be asked to climb over the walls of adversity, challenge yourself to reach milestones you didn’t want all so you can reach the goals that you do. We will be leaving our pocket protectors at the door and exposing our hearts to the reality of career development, advancement and what success actually looks like. Tip: We succeed based on our participation.
