Tech-in-a-day

Ham radio was this magical thing to me growing up. I'd heard fantastical things like astronauts using it from space, the King of Jordan being an active ham, and even a couple of guys using it to transmit information during the first gulf war, in Kuwait. I always wanted to be one. I just didn't know how. I bought the books - and they were more intimidating than I expected. I struggled through them and eventually, I passed. Now I have a licence to operate in 2 countries - US and Canada, and through this hobby, I have made so many new friends.

In past years, we have offered HAM exams at SCALE, but this year, we have something better!! Dan (KB6NU) and his team are offering a "Tech in a Day" class on BOTH Friday and Saturday, and if you sit in the class. you get all the information you need to pass the test. When's the test? I'm glad you asked! Dan's team will administed the test right at the end of the class. So show up at 0900 ready to learn and by the time you leave at 1700, you will have a licence to operate!
