Sarah Blow started the first Girl Geek Dinner in London, England back in 2005. Since then, Girl Geek Dinner chapters have sprung up all over the world. LA Girl Geek Dinners are a way to gather lady geeks of all stripes in Southern California to discuss topics in technology and what it's like to be a female in typically male-saturated industries.

The Los Angeles LAMP Special Interest Group (LAMPsig) is an off-shoot of the Linux Users of Los Angeles (LULA) group. LAMPsig is focused on web development and end user web interfaces. The LAMP environment (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) is the SIG's starting point.

The LAMPSIG group will be showcasing the Synergy application.
