The mission of Earth Treasury is to fill in the gaps in the OLPC and Sugar Labs projects. This includes electricity and Internet for villages, connecting schools around the world, microfinance for the resulting international business opportunities, organizing a mass movement to get Sugar into the schools here in the US in addition to all those poor countries, and the design of interactive "textbooks" under GPL, incorporating Sugar educational software to teach every subject.

As with OLPC and Sugar Labs, the goal is to help children get out of poverty. In an economy where Free Software predominates, we have Free Software, Creative Commons, and Open Access, and now it's time for textbooks to be liberated.
