The presentation will take place in Room 103 on Sunday, March 8, 2026 - 11:00 to 12:00

IT is full of late nights, urgent tickets, and systems that always seem to fail right before a holiday weekend. Over time, that pace catches up with you. I learned that lesson the hard way.

In this session, I’ll share what burnout really looks like from someone who’s lived through it and how I found my way back to a healthier balance. We’ll talk about the patterns that lead us there, from over-commitment and constant context switching to the pressure to “always be learning.” Then we’ll look at practical ways to protect your energy while still loving your work: setting better boundaries, automating what drains you, and finding community outside the console.

You’ll leave with real strategies you can use to make IT a sustainable career instead of a sprint. Because the best admins, developers, and engineers aren’t the ones who work nonstop. They’re the ones who learn how to rest, recharge, and still show up ready for what’s next.

Learning Outcomes:
- Recognize early warning signs of burnout in IT and DevOps roles.
- Identify habits and boundaries that support long-term career health.
- Apply small, practical changes to rebuild focus and motivation.
