Amateur Radio Enthusiast

Ben Kuo (AI6YR) has been a longtime Linux enthusiast, as well as more recent ham radio operator, and is enthusiastic about building, fixing, and playing with all kinds of amateur radio gear, plus developing projects--both hardware and software--ranging from Raspberry Pi, Arduino, mesh networking, QRP radios, antennas, and embedded software. He also enjoys taking amateur radio outdoors, with Summits On The Air (SOTA) activations, hiking and backpacking with QRP. For his day job, he is the founder, editor, and publisher of socaltech.com, an online news and information site focused on high tech business, venture capital, and technology in Southern California.
