Workshop: Speeding Up DevOps Workflows with Retool

As a DevOps professional, you have likely built lots of custom tooling and workflows for managing resources in your infrastructure. You probably also have a constant backlog of internal tools requests to build that your whole team can use.
In this workshop, you will learn how Retool’s drag-and-drop UI components and built-in integrations can quickly convert these processes into flexible software accessible to your entire team.

What is Retool?
Retool is a new and much faster way of writing software. Instead of building these internal admin panels and dashboards from scratch, you can use drag-and-drop UI components, connect them to your data/APIs quickly with built-in integrations, and then write code on top to enhance the functionality.

What we will build
In this workshop, you will learn how to create a Retool app, design the admin panel with drag-and-drop UI components, connect it to your AWS account, and automate common tasks.

What you will learn
By the end of the workshop, you will have a working UI that you can use to manage your AWS resources. You will also gain an understanding of how you can use Retool to build internal tools, admin panels, and dashboards.

What you will need
- Your laptop
- Access to an AWS account with IAM Security Credentials
- Having some familiarity with JavaScript could be beneficial, but it’s not required.
