LinHES (formerly KnoppMyth) is an Open Source solution for anyone wanting to build their own PVR. LinHES is powered by Linux, MythTV and various Open Source software. It includes all one needs to make a powerful yet easy to use PVR.

Linux Astronomy is a volunteer organization with the goal of encouraging students to get involved in both the world of Free and Open Source Software as well as the world of astronomy. The group has been designing and building a Linux-powered remotely-controlled telescope.

Attendees will be able to see and learn about the evolution of the Linux Astronomy telescope. Attendees will also be able to see astronomy-related programs running on the Linux operating system.  Various cool hardware hacks in various states of functionality will also be shown.
