Workshop: Simplify your most complex business processes

This hands-on workshop is for software developers who want to build foundational knowledge of automating and orchestrating even your most complex processes with Camunda Platform 8. We’ll start with designing a process from the requirements stage and deploying it to Camunda Platform 8. Afterwards we’ll look at incremental improvements to the process including User Tasks to incorporate humans into the flow. Then we will implement fully software-automated tasks in the flow with a variety of popular modern programming languages. Throughout this workshop you will gain practical, hands-on experience with Camunda Platform 8 components like Operate, Tasklist, Optimize, and Connectors to get a glimpse into how you would iterate and improve your automated process.

What will you be doing?

Over the course of the workshop, we’ll work through setting up a process and deploying to Camunda Platform 8. We’ll follow this tutorial.

Design your process in BPMN with Web Modeler

Get familiar with Camunda Platform 8 and discover features to iterate and scale your process

Use DMN (Decision Model Notation) to express and automate complex decisioning

Design/Implement a first draft with User Tasks and Forms

Choose a Camunda Platform 8 client library and implement a fully software-automated Service Task

Add BPMN events

·Generate awesome dashboards with Optimize to identify bottlenecks in your process
