Roy will present an overview of existing open source PHP eCommerce solutions and their pitfalls. He'll discuss how Magento will solve those problems, including the difficulty with upgrading, customizing and scaling existing solutions to business applications. He'll also provide:

• An Overview of Magento’s Architecture
• The Use of the Zend Framework as the basis of Magento’s code structure
• A look at adding new blocks/modules to the base Magento code
