FreeBSD, PC-BSD, FreeNAS

FreeBSD is an advanced open source operating system used to power modern servers, desktops, and embedded platforms. A large community has continually developed it for more than thirty years. Its advanced networking, security and storage features have made FreeBSD the platform of choice for many of the busiest web sites and most pervasive embedded networking and storage devices.

PC-BSD is a user friendly operating system based on FreeBSD. It provides a graphical installer and a suite of management utilities that make it easy to administer and use a FreeBSD-based desktop or server.

FreeNAS enables users to build network-attached-storage (NAS) on nearly any hardware platform of their choosing, allowing network storage be made available to the world at no cost and unencumbered by license restrictions. This FreeBSD-based NAS has a mature community and a team of developers dedicated to meeting that goal and providing the best open-source NAS solution on the market.

At SCALE, members from the FreeBSD, PC-BSD, and FreeNAS projects will provide demonstrations of the PC-BSD and FreeNAS operating systems.

SCALE attendees will profit from presentations about the benefits of running the FreeBSD, PC-BSD, and FreeNAS operating systems. They can also receive a variety of trade show goodies, such as the latest versions of PC-BSD and FreeNAS, FreeBSD daemon horns, stickers, and other cool stuff. Just follow the red blinking horns to the FreeBSD booth!
