Really Simple Orchestration with Ansible

Audience:
Topic:

System orchestration requires a different mindset from configuration management. Orchestration should happen at scale without the need for complex messaging queues and agents. Orchestration allows for you to run commands as needed without waiting for manifests to compile. Ansible solves that problem by using python, yaml, and SSH. Because the requirements are so simple you can use Ansible for all of your system orchestration or you can leverage it for gathering on the fly stats across your infrastructure. Even if you don't use Ansible for orchestration, you can still use Ansible's inventory features for use in other scripts. We will cover some of the basic architecture, how playbooks and roles are work, and some extra functionality of Ansible.
