Alison Chaiken
Alison Chaiken has smoothly transitioned in recent years from breaking expensive physics apparatus to bricking embedded devices. She is nearly the only remaining resident of Mountain View, CA who doesn't work for Google. Alison was exposed to BSD and indoctrinated into the Church of Emacs at MIT in the 1980's. She switched to Linux in the 1990's and has never used Mac or Windows at home. Alison has presented at SVLUG, PenLUG, NBLUG and Code Camp in the San Francisco Bay Area and will serve on the OSCON Program Committee for 2012.
