I've worked with databases in the enterprise for my whole career at MySQL, Oracle, Sybase, and Ingres. I also worked on an open source project called GenMapp (University of California, San Francisco), and helped design and code database applications in energy and the environment. I recently got a master's degree in bioinformatics, and did my undergraduate study at UC Berkeley. I really enjoy my work at MySQL. I live in the East Bay of the SF Bay Area and after years of cold and foggy San Francisco summers, I am loving the warm summer weather here.
