Andrew Hall is a co-founder of Hall Law, which counsels a spectrum of clients, from Fortune Global 500 companies to emerging startups, on legal issues relating to the development, commercialization, and governance of open-source and commercially licensed (closed-source) software. Hall Law regularly works with clients to: develop and streamline open-source governance and compliance processes; audit the use of open-source software in client products, investment target assets, and partner and supply-chain software and products and guide remediation efforts; train client personnel on open-source and development best practices; and harmonize clients’ open-source and closed-source licensing strategies. Before founding Hall Law, Andrew enjoyed a software-focused transactional practice at Fenwick & West and practiced as an IP litigator with Knobbe Martens.
