Once again, SCaLE is sponsoring a Special Events Amateur Radio Station, operating under the temporary, event-specific, call sign “N6S” (November-Six-SCaLE). The station will be operating live, from the front lobby of the Conference Center (i.e., the east-most building) at the Pasadena Convention Center. Stop by and check out how Linux and the open-source community support various aspects of the Amateur Radio hobby; including Emergency Services, world-wide communications, radio-contesting, and the development of new radio and communications technology. This year, the station will primarily be operating on the HF bands, using local and remote transceivers. Watch or even try your hand at making a contact with someone in another part of the state, the country, or the world.
