Linux System Admin Training

Linux is a robust and secure operating system with a rich array of applications.  The Southern California Linux Expo is once again providing those who want to start using Linux an opportunity to learn how.  SCALE will provide a one-day Installfest + basic system administration class on Saturday, February 21st, 2015.

Training will be provided by the professional trainers of One Source Course, assisted by skilled SCALE volunteers.

For the price of a Full Expo pass, the attendee will learn how to install and administer a Linux operating system on Saturday and and still have time to tour the remainder of the Expo on Sunday.   Access to all other SCALE activities on Thursday - Sunday is provided with the Full Expo pass.

Prerequisites:  a desktop or laptop system with at least 2 Gigabytes of RAM and 10 Gigabytes of disc space available to Linux.  While a dedicated installation is preferred, dual-boot installations may also be accommodated.
