Creating Open Hardware Tools
Through out history when scientist and inventors needed new methods of testing and working on their projects, they often created their own tools. many of these tools were considered "open" and shared with other scientists. this principle of open tools has been extended into the modern age with open source licenses and the prolifiration of low cost electronics. together these open sources tools present a unique way of having not only useful low cost tools, but also continue the spirit of open source from software into hardware.
