The So Cal Linux Expo Continues to Grow
SCALE is proud to announce that USENIX has joined SCALE. USENIX is the
Advanced Computing Systems Association. Since 1975 the USENIX
Association has brought together the community of engineers, system
administrators, scientists, and technicians working on the cutting edge
of the computing world.
USENIX's LISA (Large Installation System Administration) Conference will
be another great place to get information on Unix. For more info, see

On the SCALE speaker front, kernel developer Patrick Mochel returns for
the second year. His talk will be "Managing power in the 2.6 kernel".
Charles Kalil will also speak, discussing how the city of Garden Grove,
California successfully migrated much of their information systems to
Linux over the past few years.
SCALE 2X will be November 22nd, 2003 at the Los Angeles Convention
