The So Cal Linux Expo Continues to Grow

SCALE is proud to announce that USENIX has joined SCALE. USENIX is the Advanced Computing Systems Association. Since 1975 the USENIX Association has brought together the community of engineers, system administrators, scientists, and technicians working on the cutting edge of the computing world.

USENIX's LISA (Large Installation System Administration) Conference will be another great place to get information on Unix. For more info, see http://www.usenix.org/events/lisa03/

On the SCALE speaker front, kernel developer Patrick Mochel returns for the second year. His talk will be "Managing power in the 2.6 kernel".

Charles Kalil will also speak, discussing how the city of Garden Grove, California successfully migrated much of their information systems to Linux over the past few years.

SCALE 2X will be November 22nd, 2003 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. For up to the minute information, including complete lists of speakers and their bios, and sponsor info, check http://www.socallinuxexpo.com. Contact info=at=socallinuxexpo.com for more info.
