Video game production requires a cross section of just about every technical and artistic discipline that exists. Drawing, painting, modeling, sound design, game engines, photogrammetry, and so much more, all now have open source tools that run natively on Linux, among other platforms. Let's talk about pros and cons, and how all these tools can fit together.

Tom has been using open source software in various ways to help make his artwork for about twenty years. This talk is inspired by his experiments with open source tools specifically for video game development over the last couple of years.
