Silicon Mechanics, Inc. will be highlighting and demonstrating its zStax open architecture storage solutions based on NexentaStor at SCALE 11x, the Eleventh Annual Southern California Linux Expo, which will be held February 22-24, 2013 in Los Angeles, California, at the Hilton Los Angeles International Airport, Booth #2.

Silicon Mechanics will host a real-time demonstration of the zStax unified storage appliance, powered by NexentaStor, a fully featured NAS/SAN software platform that provides enterprise storage features at mid-tier prices. Industry expert Tommy Scherer will show how the zStax Highly Available architecture seamlessly handles load failover.

The zStax software-defined storage model is deployed on enterprise-class, industry standard hardware. Silicon Mechanics relies on Seagate enterprise SAS hard drives, with speeds from 7.2K to 15K RPM, for fast and reliable storage.
