Jim is well respected in the OpenStack community, with a passion for open source in general and OpenStack in particular. He brings deep knowledge of the OpenStack development process at every step, from blueprint to summit to code submission, ultimately through to bi-annual releases and ongoing stable maintenance. Jim's broad experience comes from contributing to OpenStack on behalf of HP since the software's first release, Austin, in 2010.
Jim helps the OpenStack community produce quality open source cloud software by creating a welcoming and productive environment, mentally and technically through systems, for developers to quickly contribute regardless of culture or tools. He designs and implements process improvements to automate CI systems, testing and other components of the developer workflow. Another aspect of his role is to attract and educate new developers, and he looks forward to his time at the SoCal Linux Expo.
